Amateur boxing involves fighters of all ages. BoutMatch takes child safeguarding seriously and has built protection into every layer of the platform — not as an afterthought, but as a foundation.

We are ICO registered, aligned with the NSPCC Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) framework, and fully compliant with UK GDPR Article 8 and the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code.

Every under-18 fighter has a restricted profile by default. Junior data is never publicly visible. No name, no photo, no gym address. A reference code only. Parental consent is mandatory before any under-18 can be added to a roster.

Under-18 fighters are never publicly searchable. A reference code only is shown. Full name, gym, photo, and date of birth are never visible outside the authenticated platform.

Mandatory parental consent
No under-18 can be added to a club roster without documented parental or guardian consent. Coaches must confirm they hold a signed consent form before adding any junior fighter.

Verified clubs only
Only clubs affiliated with England Boxing, Welsh Boxing, Scottish Boxing, or Ulster Boxing can register junior fighters. Unaffiliated clubs have senior access only.

Clear reporting mechanism
Every profile and match request has a visible report button. Safeguarding concerns go directly to our DSL and are reviewed within 24 hours.

No public junior rankings
Under-18 rankings are not publicly visible. Junior rankings are accessible only to verified coaches of registered affiliated clubs. Senior power rankings are live at boutmatch.co.uk/rankings.

Right to erasure
Parents or guardians can request deletion of a junior fighter's data at any time. Data is deleted within 30 days of request. Lapsed subscriptions trigger automatic deletion after 30 days.

How Matchmaking Works

Once your gym is registered, this is the exact flow when you want to arrange a bout with another club. Every step is logged, every decision auditable.

Browse the database
Log in to your coach dashboard. Filter fighters by weight, region, experience, and age group. Select a fighter from another gym.

Send a match request
Choose your fighter, enter preferred date range and venue. BoutMatch auto-checks eligibility — weight, experience, rest period, safeguarding.

Other gym is notified
The receiving coach gets an email and dashboard notification. They have 48 hours to accept, counter with a different fighter, or decline.
04
Accept, counter, or decline
Accepting confirms the bout. Countering proposes a different fighter. Declining closes the request with a reason logged.
05
Bout confirmed — record updated
After the show, the promoting gym logs the result. Both coaches confirm within 48 hours. Verified result appears permanently on both fighter records.
